The Florida Occupational Therapy Educational Consortium (FLOTEC) is an organization dedicated to the development, implementation, and support of quality fieldwork education and capstone education for occupational therapy (OT) and occupational therapy assistant (OTA) students. The partnership between education and practice provides leadership for fieldwork education and capstone education programs, and clinical faculty development.
Through open discussion, networking, and aggressive exploration of opportunities and visionary ideas, FLOTEC fosters and supports dynamic fieldwork and capstone education environments for fieldwork/capstone faculty and students.
These environments enable students to transition into competent and socially responsible professionals who understand, respond, and promote creative problem-solving in the rapidly changing and competitive healthcare delivery system. FLOTEC explores, designs, and implements innovations that assist practitioners in providing quality learning experiences to meet its mission of excellence in fieldwork and capstone education.
